Last night (Wednesday May 2nd), I went along to Dry The River’s sold-out London show at the Electric Ballroom in Camden.
It was such an intense gig, but absolutely stunning, with the debut album Shallow Bed more than strong enough to fill a headline slot. Definite highlights were Weights and Measures, and ending the set with Lion’s Den

The band completely defied “Folk Law” so it were, and performed a ridiculously tight and harmonic set – all of which was written on what appeared to be a ladies vest.
I would highly recommend you go and catch them live on this tour (Shepherds Bush is their final London date), or head to The Great Escape Festival to see them play alongisde the likes of Django Django, Spector, Howler & We Are Scientists (tickets can be won on the CSR website RIGHT NOW)
Here is what happened when I caught up with them before the show, and discussed working with Peter Katis, the new album and Rio Ferdinand.
